November 5th 2007:
Well it's been a busy couple of months and there are a few bits to report.
Firstly; David was recently featured in the October 30th edition of the London newspaper 'Metro'.
We apologise for not mentioning this sooner, but we decided to conduct an in-house experiment to see how many people would get in touch off the back of the feature with zero publicity on our part.
We have all been very suprised by the response, especially from the various media outlets.
Please accept our apologies in advance if you're one of the many who has emailed us but not yet received a reply. We are working as fast as we can to respond to each and every one individually...anyone want a job helping out?We have just scanned the article in tonight and so anybody who missed it, or has asked for it to be uploaded, can find it here and if that's not shamelessly obvious enough, YOU CAN FIND THE METRO ARTICLE HERE!!!
Secondly; a big thankyou to all those who have been contributing to David's blog, The Human Touch both on the blog and via email.
I had a pretty hard job convincing him it would be a good idea so thanks for making it all worthwhile and allowing me to be extra smug about it.Finally; the line up of printed work has had a few changes and it's only fair I bring you up to date on them.
The September edition of 'The Highgate Vampire Casebook Files' has been put back.
The reason is simple. David is currently hard at work on bringing together the two volumes of his autobiography into one new bound volume.
It's been a tough job as the chronological order of events is very much mixed between the two books and so David has had to unravel his own writing and put it back together in order. As it was my stupid suggestion, I am no longer on his Christmas card list...
The plus side is that the book will be packed with even more pages to link the two books together and to fill in the missing gaps.
Once the new autobiography is complete, with a tentative release date of early 2008, the team will be busy putting the final touches on another new book that is also being written as we speak...type...read...whatever.
I can't say too much about the second book as it really is going to be explosive in content, and once again, a compendium with several new chapters that will blow the lid off of the lies, fabrications and malicious falsehoods that have been promoted from those with hidden agendas.
The writing cast features some old familiar names plus some new blood.
Once this is complete, we will be putting out a second comic...yes, THAT comic!
And finally, David will be releasing the third part to his autobiography, bringing the reader up to date from events from 1980 onwards.
This book is planned for an early 2009 release.
...so somewhere in there...we will try and get out that second edition of The Highgate Vampire Casebook Files.
And now, in closing, if I may, I'd like to add my own few words to this most auspicious of days.
November 5th.
Guy Fawke's night.
...for the non-UK readers, Wikipedia or Google is your friend.
An explosive 'celebration' dating back some 400 years and all geared towards change.
Is change good? Is it the only way?
We are all changing. Our views change with every passing season and it's not a crime to wake up to the reality of the situation.
Some people are all too lost in the 'here and now' as opposed to 'where and why'.

August 18th 2007:
A couple of updates for you this time folks.
Firstly; The new publication has finally been printed & published.
It's a comic book...yep, you read that right, a comic book.
Short on pages, but big on laughs.
The comic is the work of an American artist called Cecil Lamont-Dwiggins, (who has since gone into hiding) and is published through the B.P.O.S.
Unfortunately we won't be advertising the book on this site but full details can be obtained via email or you can just join the forum board and ask David directly.Secondly; The more eagle eyed and astute reader will have noticed a new button sitting snugly to the left of this message and in the main menu.
Entitled The Human Touch , it marks David's entry into the world of blogging.
Don't expect any salacious gossip, rumours or platforming; it's simply a place for him to share random day to day thoughts.
As always, feedback is appreciated.
...that's all folks!

August 6th 2007:
Well, it's one day short of a year since this news section was created and it's fitting that I should reveal a few new details.
Firstly, there are two new subsections in the forums boards.
The first can be found in the Highgate Vampire section and is simply called 'The Highgate Scandal'.
Keep an eye on it as David will be adding a few topics that set the reord straight regarding some of the more outlandish stories associated with the Highgate episode.
The second new subsection can be found at the very bottom under 'Ask David' and is called Book Reviews...you don't need an explanation surely!
Secondly, I've amended the link that will take you to the interview David gave to Don Ecker over at Dark Matters.
Finally...and most important of all, here at davidfarrant.org, we have decided to branch out into a new form of publication.
Somewhat cryptic...
Somewhat comical...
...stay tuned folks!

Could it be true?
A second update in as many days?!
Remember the radio interview I mentioned yesterday? Well, here it is; done, dusted and wrapped up.
The interview was conducted by Don Ecker for his Radio Show "Dark Matters".
Those of you with an interest in the paranormal or U.F.O's are probably already familiar with Don but for those of you who aren't, he's a retired Police Office, Detective; Author; Journalist; U.F.O Expert and former member of the United States Armed Forces.
...with this in mind, it was obvious that he'd keep a skeptical & fair eye on proceedings.
You can visit his own website at Dark Matters Radio
The interview with David Farrant can be found here at Patriot Brigade Radio

...I bet you thought I'd forgotten about you...again.
A couple of quick updates for you.
Firstly. I've added a F.A.Q (frequently asked questions) to hopefully answer the many duplicate e-mails I receive every month.
Check the link to the left and towards the bottom, or in case you're suffering from lethargy of the highest order, you can just click me instead
Secondly, A big welcome to the forumites and readers of the MSN group Friends of David Farrant
In a step to unify the many groups and boards that have been built up over time, we have closed the message sections on FoDF and request that you bring your comments, questions and daggers to the main forum board
...one final point, David Farrant will be interviewed for an exclusive online Radio Show based in California.
Unfortunately, and for a change, this show will be pre-recorded at the broadcasters own request and so a Q&A will be unavailable.
Further details will be given closer the air time

May 28th 2007:
Yes, I know it's been five months since I last brought you up to date, but I hadn't forgotten about you.
Quite the contrary.
Firstly, a huge thankyou to all the people who have been emailing me to comment on the new look website and for information regarding David.
I should point out, that I am NOT David Farrant, but a friend and colleague who has taken on website and forum duties.
Any emails that are sent to the Webmaster, do not go to David, but to me.
I then, sift through them and pass the messages on to David who will either address them personally, or as is often the case, ask me to take care of the matter.
For my own sanity, and to pre-empt the most obvious questions;
: No, David does not believe in Vampires
: No, I don't know the best way to kill what you suspect to be a Vampire, but is probably little more than an eccentric English teacher
Secondly, you may have noticed that the long awaited September edition of 'The Highgate Vampire Casebook Files', has yet to materialise.
There is a very good reason for this.
The BPOS has been very busy publishing a new book/report by our very own Patsy Langley, purchase details of which can be found on the book page.
Entitled, and in full, "The Highgate Vampire Casebook: A Final Report On The Alleged Existence Of A 'Vampire' Said To Have Haunted London's Highgate Cemetary", the book is a concise in-depth study of the Vampire hoax and offers new insights & facts into the truth behind the myth.
Rather than lose itself in whimsical ideas, it pulls no punches and goes for the jugular, backing up facts from Census Records, Wills & Probate & the University of Cambridge archives, amongst other sources.
Priced at £4.50, it's a steal. Finally, a big thankyou to all those who turned up to the secret London location where David gave a talk last week.
The talk was very well received with a rapturous round of applause, and as was to be expected, over-ran the allotted time.
I'll put up some photo's from the evening as soon as I get a chance.
Unfortunately, we were unable to promote this via the website as numbers were limited....oh, that September edition of the magazine? How about we just call it Issue #2?
We're working on it, and with only a few pages to go, it shouldn't be too long before we're able to offer it to you.
Any delay will be due to the fact that so much has happened in the last few months that we want to include as much of it as possible to retain topicality.
